Dr. Jeffrey Tauth Opens Arkansas’s First Cardiovascular Surgical Center

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – July 21, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Jeffrey G. Tauth, M.D., F.A.C.C., an interventional cardiologist who has practiced in Hot Springs for more than 30 years, has opened the Vascular Center of Hot Springs, the first ambulatory surgical center in Arkansas dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular procedures.

The center, which began seeing patients in April 2026, performs cardiac and peripheral arterial stenting, angioplasty, and atherectomy, and offers a full range of cardiac device implantations including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and implantable cardiac monitors. Unlike procedures performed in a hospital setting, those performed at the center take place in a physician-run facility where the treating cardiologist directs all clinical decisions.

“Patients in this region have needed a dedicated cardiovascular facility for a long time,” said Dr. Tauth. “Opening this center means we can offer procedures and devices that simply were not available here before, in a setting that puts the patient’s experience first.”

The center treats patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and heart rhythm disorders, among other cardiovascular conditions. Many of those patients have previously undergone heart attacks, bypass surgery, or stenting procedures and require ongoing intervention and monitoring. Dr. Tauth said the center’s outpatient model allows patients to receive that care without the logistical and administrative burdens associated with hospital-based treatment.

The center operates as an extension of Hot Springs Heart and Vascular, Dr. Tauth’s private cardiology clinic, which has served patients in Hot Springs and surrounding communities for decades. Because the facility is independently operated and not affiliated with a hospital system, Dr. Tauth said it is able to source devices from multiple manufacturers rather than being limited to a single vendor’s product line.

That flexibility, he said, has direct implications for patient care. Cardiac stenting and peripheral vascular procedures often require choosing among several device types depending on the anatomy and condition of an individual patient. At a hospital-based facility, that choice is frequently constrained by institutional contracts. At an independently operated center, the decision rests entirely with the physician.

The center also serves patients referred from surrounding counties and from Mena, Arkansas, a community approximately 90 miles northwest of Hot Springs where Dr. Tauth has maintained a satellite clinic for more than 25 years. Patients seen at the Mena location who require advanced procedures can be scheduled at the Hot Springs facility without being referred outside Dr. Tauth’s practice.

“The goal has always been to make high-level cardiac care accessible to patients across this part of the state,” said Dr. Tauth. “Having a facility where we control every aspect of how that care is delivered is something I have worked toward for years.”

The Vascular Center of Hot Springs is located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and accepts referrals from primary care physicians and specialists throughout central and western Arkansas. Patients and referring providers may contact the clinic directly by phone, where calls are answered by staff at the Hot Springs location.
