The Alex Manfull Fund announces the Hollywood debut of TILT: Stories on the Edge, a live storytelling event being held at the The Broadwater LA, Main Stage
HOLLYWOOD, CA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Alex Manfull Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of neuroimmune disorders affecting young people, announced the Hollywood debut of TILT: Stories on the Edge, a live storytelling event being held at the The Broadwater LA, Main Stage on September 24. The event will showcase the voices of 10 individuals sharing powerful five-minute stories that span “life on the edge.”
Among the stories being shared is that of LA native, 23-year-old David Orlinksy, who developed the neuroimmune condition known as PANDAS following a strep infection when he was just seven. The bacteria triggered his immune system to attack healthy brain tissue. Practically overnight, the academically gifted, competitive baseball player was replaced by a child gripped by intrusive thoughts, debilitating OCD and motor function issues–suddenly unable to engage in normal daily activities. It took a year for David, the son of two medical professionals, to be properly diagnosed and another year to be treated. David eventually recovered.
TILT-Hollywood is the latest in a traveling storytelling series that aims to bring urgent attention to PANS, PANDAS and other “stories on the edge.” Following sold-out events in Hermosa Beach and Berkeley, CA, TILT-Hollywood will showcase the voices of 10 individuals sharing powerful five-minute stories that range from resilience through adversity to moments of joy, growth, humor, and unexpected possibility.
The storytellers, from caregivers and survivors to clinicians who have battled a host of challenges, will share their stories live and unscripted. Half of the speakers will be pre-selected and five will be chosen from the audience through a live random drawing from submitted story pitches. Proceeds will support critical research and clinician training sponsored by The Alex Manfull Fund, helping to expand understanding, improve diagnosis, and strengthen care for those affected by neuroimmune disorders.

PANS and PANDAS are neuroimmune disorders that affect young people after common bacterial and viral infections like strep throat and the flu.They are serious, life-altering conditions, causing sudden and debilitating changes in behavior, mood, and neurological function.
