For photographers who deliver large sets: every frame gets its own tilt estimate and a clean crop, and no photo leaves the Mac.
OSAKA, JAPAN, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Straightening is often the last manual step between a finished shoot and the client delivery. Suihei, the macOS app from MARGINAL GAINS INC., turns that step into a quick review: it estimates each image’s tilt separately, levels the whole set at once and trims every frame to the largest rectangle with no blank corners. Source files are never modified, and the processing happens on the photographer’s own Mac. The interface is available in 33 languages.
One angle per photo, not one per batch
The amount of tilt changes from frame to frame: a handheld camera, a slope underfoot, a quick change of position between shots. Copying a single correction across a set fixes a few images and leaves the rest a little crooked, so the work often ends up being done photo by photo. Suihei’s built-in AI looks at each image individually and estimates how far it leans, then applies the correction to the whole set in one step.
Rotating a photo leaves empty wedges at the edges. Suihei crops each result to the largest rectangle that fits inside the rotated image, so no blank corners remain and nothing has to be trimmed afterward. The workflow was shaped by a working professional photographer’s real client jobs.
The photographer keeps the last word
Suihei’s AI judges angles. It generates nothing. It never paints anything into a photo. If the estimate for a frame is uncertain, Suihei does not apply it on its own; it offers the angle as a live preview, and the photographer accepts or rejects it. The set can then be reviewed at a glance, mostly from the keyboard, and any photo can be adjusted by hand in fine steps.
Nothing overwritten, nothing uploaded
Corrected copies are saved in another folder and keep their EXIF metadata, while the source files stay exactly as they were. Frames left uncorrected are copied byte for byte rather than compressed a second time. All processing, the built-in AI included, runs locally and also works offline. Photos are never sent anywhere, the built-in AI does not learn from the photographer’s photos or edits during use, and the App Store privacy label for Suihei reads “Data Not Collected.”
Availability
Every screen and dialog is available in 33 languages, including English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Korean, with Arabic and Hebrew laid out right to left.
Suihei is a free download from the Mac App Store for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 26.4 or later. The first 100 exported photos are free, and after that 10 more are free every day; viewing and editing are never limited. A single in-app purchase, “Unlock Export,” removes the export limit for good. It is a one-time purchase of US$39.99. There is no subscription. Prices vary by App Store region, and the price shown at purchase applies. Suihei works with JPEG, HEIC and PNG files.
