NorthRock Church Hosts Baptism Weekend Across San Antonio Campuses

SAN ANTONIO, TX — NorthRock Church announces Baptism Weekend, a special celebration taking place across all three San Antonio-area campuses. The event welcomes individuals who have made the decision to follow Jesus Christ, to publicly declare their faith through water baptism, surrounded by friends and family in a time of joyful celebration.

“Water baptism is a time of celebration and public declaration of new life in Christ,” said a church representative. “We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.”

NorthRock makes baptism accessible and convenient for everyone. Whether participants sign up for baptism ahead of time or decide on the day of the event, the church provides everything needed—shirts, shorts, towels—for this special occasion. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and celebrate together. The next upcoming Baptism weekend is November 22 – 23, 2025.

Biblical Foundation

NorthRock Church believes that water baptism is an act of obedience that demonstrates submission to God. Following Jesus’ example and instruction in Matthew 28:19-20, the church teaches that every person who has received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior should be baptized. Water baptism symbolizes the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, as well as the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and resurrection to new life in Christ Jesus.

The church also offers resources for parents whose children are interested in baptism, including a Children’s Baptism Guide to help families understand this significant step of faith together.
